Yamaha Piano Competition 2025
Initial Stage: Prepare a Free Choice piece to video and submit by 28th September 2025. To support our students, after a video application in September 2025 to Yamaha you be able to receive extra guidance to finally apply in March 2026.
Final Stage: Prepare a Free Choice piece and Compulsory piece (to be announced October 2025).
Down below we share the outline of two pieces which need to be prepared, one free selection piece and one compulsory piece.
1.Support of the preparation of the Free selection piece
Video application, deadline 28th of September 2025 to YMS School and the Pre-Application Form
Written Feedback of YME-Jury received in October
2. Announcement of Compulsory piece (Yamaha Corporation of Japan)
October 2025
3. Final Support of the preparation of both pieces:
Face to Face Clinic by Music Education staff between December 2025-February 2026 at your YMS location
4. The Final Application to Japan will be middle of March 2026.
